Expected DA from July-2012 will be 72% - Increase in DA will be 7%

Two expectation gives 72% Dearness Allowance (DA) from July 2012 as illustrated below:

AICPIN as on Apr, 2012: As per All India Consumer Price Index Number [http://labourbureau.nic.in/indtab.html] for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) on base 2001=100 for the month of April, 2012 increased by 4 points and stood at 205 (Two hundred & five).

First Expectation: 

It is presumed that AICPIN will stand constant i.e. 205 for May, 2012 and June 2012:

Expected Dearness Allowance DA for July, 2012 calculated as under:

Dearness Allowance = (Avg of AICPI for the past 12 months - 115.76)*100/115.76

Now it is clear that Expected DA will be 72% means 7% increase in Dearness allowance from July-2012.
